When Safaricom wanted to create an e-commerce platform to become “the Amazon of Africa”, they came to Seven. We created the brand name, Masoko, which means “My Marketplace” in Swahili. We also created a “system identity” with an ever changing system of logos which have enough consistency to build brand awareness but with enough changing elements to be continually fresh and ever moving on digital media.
Seven Brands is now the creative ecommerce advertising agency for Masoko, East Africa’s first telco-owned online shopping platform. Utilising our global best practice, Seven have enabled Masoko to democratize their e-commerce, creating heartfelt communications that open minds to the untapped potential of online stores in Kenya and across Africa.

A major part of this brief was to create valuable communications for paid media on both traditional and digital platforms and taken the lead for creating Masoko’s brand identity. For this project, we are also a key business development partner for brand communications, digital merchandising and products promotion for the online store.
